Tye Sheridan is an American actor born in 1996. He made his feature film debut in Terrence Malick's experimental drama film The Tree of Life (2011). A year later, he starred as co-lead opposite Matthew McConaughey in Jeff Nichols's film Mud (2012), for which he was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead.
Sheridan went on to star in a number of critically acclaimed films, including Joe (2013), The Stanford Prison Experiment (2015) and All Summers End (2017). Sheridan took the recurring role of Scott Summers / Cyclops in the X-Men reboot series and was cast as the lead role in Stephen Spielberg's Ready Player One (2018).
A rising star in Hollywood, Sheridan continues to shine in both big budget films and niche independent features showing great range in his roles. He is equally adept at playing coming-of-age characters as he is at playing complex and challenging roles.
