Timothy Spall, OBE (born 27 February 1957) is an English actor who gained popularity in the BBC comedy-drama series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (1983). His performance in Mike Leigh's Secrets & Lies (1996) earned him his first of five BAFTA Award nominations during his career.
Spall's other roles include The Last Samurai (2003), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) and The King's Speech (2010). He also starred in six Harry Potter films as Wormtail and won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for his lead role in Mr Turner (2014). He has been married to Shane Spall since 1981, and the couple have three children together.
