Sam Trammell

Sam Trammell (born January 29, 1969) is an American actor, known for his role as Sam Merlotte on the HBO fantasy drama series True Blood. He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance as Richard Miller in Ah, Wilderness!.

In 2014 Trammell starred opposite Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort in the tragic drama The Fault in Our Stars. He played the President in the final season of Homeland in 2020 and he played one of the lead roles in the TV mini series Reckoning (2019).
