Malin Akerman

Born May 12, 1978, Malin is a Swedish Canadian actress, model and singer. She has one sister. When she was two years old, her family moved to Canada after her father was offered a job there. As a child Akerman had no plans to become an actress; Ford Models discovered her in a shopping mall. In 2001 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career full-time. In 2012, Akerman travelled to Tanzania with Opportunity International and has since begun support of their international development work there.
