Katie Holmes

American actress Katie Holmes found success in 1998, when she was cast as Joey Potter in the television series Dawson's Creek. The show was a huge success, and Holmes quickly became a star. Two years after Dawson's Creek ended, Christopher Nolan cast her in Batman Begins (2005).

In 2006, Holmes married actor Tom Cruise. The couple had one daughter, Suri, in 2006 but divorced in 2012. In 2016, Holmes made her directing debut in the indie film drama All We Had. She also starred in the hit TV series Ray Donovan (2013-2016) and Steven Soderbergh's Logan Lucky (2017).

As a celebrity continuing to act and direct in her projects, Holmes has gone from the TV teen star to an intriguing and inspirational female filmmaker.
