Jeffrey Wright is an American actor known for playing intelligent characters in his deep, smooth voice. His career in acting started in 1990, with his first notable role coming in 1996's Basquiat. He starred in big-budget Hollywood films such as Shaft (2000), Ali (2001) and The Manchurian Candidate (2004).
Wright had recurring roles in the Bond series, starting with Casino Royale (2006), as well as the Hunger Games series. He made multiple appearances in HBO's Boardwalk Empire (2010) and Westworld (2016).
More recently, Wright starred as Lt. James Gordon in The Batman (2022), and he appeared in Wes Anderson's Asteroid City (2023). Wright has received Primetime Emmy, Golden Globes and Tony Awards throughout his illustrious career and he continues to be a star in Film, TV and theatre.
