Born Thomas Jacob Black in August 1969, Jack Black has become one of Hollywood's greatest comedy actors. While studying at UCLA, Black was a member of Tim Robbins' acting troupe, and it was this collaboration that led to his 1992 film debut in Bob Roberts (1992).
Black's breakthrough performance came in the romantic comedy High Fidelity (2000). A year later, his band, Tenacious D, released their debut album. After four albums, the rock band continues to grow its cult following.
Jack Black has starred in multiple comedies, including School of Rock (2003), King Kong (2005) and Nacho Libre (2006). He voices the main character in the Kung Fu Panda franchise and has starred in the Jumanji reboot movies.
