Elizabeth Banks is an American actress, producer and director, born in Pittsfeld, Massachusetts. Growing up she played baseball and rode horses. Trying out for a school play was her first introduction to action. Elizabeth made her film debut in the low-budget independent film Surrender Dorothy, and her breakthrough role was in Spider-Man where she plays the secretary. She is known for her roles in such films as Seabiscuit, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and The Hunger Games trilogy.
