Dominic Purcell

Born in England, actor Dominic Purcell moved to Australia at the age of two. His inspiration for becoming an actor came after watching Platoon (1986) but it was not until his later life that he started studying acting where he eventually ended up enrolling at the Western Australian Academy of Performing arts where he studied with Hugh Jackman.

Typically cast as the tough man, Purcell has featured in major Hollywood blockbusters such as Mission: Impossible II (2000), Equilibrium (2002) and Blade: Trinity (2004). He was later cast as the lead role in the hit TV series Prison Break (2005-2017) as well as Mick Rory/Heat Wave in the DC comic book TV series, Legends of Tomorrow (2016-2021).
