Catherine Tate is an English comedian, actress, and writer. Her mom, Josephine, was a florist and she never knew her father as he left very early on in her life. By the time she was a teenager, she already developed a passion for acting and knew it was a career she wanted to pursue professionally. She studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama for three years. Her work that she is most widely recognized for includes Doctor Who, where she played the role of ‘Donna Noble’, Starter for 10, and The Catherine Tate Show. She has won numerous awards for her sketch comedy series the Catherine Tate Show as well as being nominated for an International Emmy Award and seven BAFTA Awards.
