American singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen rose to fame when he released his album Born to Run in 1975. The album catapulted Springsteen to worldwide fame, and he would go on to release some of the greatest albums and songs of all time.
In 1994, Springsteen won an academy award for the song Streets of Philadelphia, which featured in the Tom Hanks film Philadelphia (1993). He also won a Golden Globe and Grammy award for the song. In 1996, Springsteen's song Secret Garden appeared in Jerry Maguire and in 2008, he wrote a song for the Mickey Rourke hit indie drama The Wrestler which would go on to win a Golden Globe for Best Original Song.
