When Vlad returns home from Italy, he discovers the local, affluent couple, Constantin and Ileana, were sentenced to death by the villagers for killing the local drunkard, Florin. Upon questioning the villagers about their swift justice, Vlad notices everyone is acting strange and suspects corruption and conspiracy among the people of his hometown.
As Vlad gets closer to discovering the truth, the villagers are shocked to find Constantin and Ileana have risen from their graves and turned into strigoi, a form of evil, undead vampire. As the locals rush to cover up their corruption, Vlad fights to uncover the secrets and lies buried within his village.
Having fun with the original Romanian evil folklore, Strigoi is a comical fantasy horror written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Faye Jackson. With satirical nods to Europe's past, Strigoi comes with a witty bite as the vampires go on the hunt for more than just blood.
